The Top 7 Tag With My Boys Club

Happy New Year!

As we embark on 2019 it’s the time of year when we traditionally look to see what we can improve, change, and transform about ourselves. I’m not really one for making resolutions however I do think it is good to take stock, see where we are, look back at where we were and make plans to help us achieve what we want in both our personal and professional lives over the coming year.

The Top 7 Tag With My Boys Club

One Frazzled Mum started a blogger tag to share some of our best things on and off the blog from 2018 as well as some things we are looking forward to in 2019. Anyone is welcome to take part, and if you would like to join in, this is all you need to do;

List your Favourite 7 Posts from 2018. They can be any posts at all that you are proud of but I’m choosing the most read of 2018.

7 Things You Loved The Most About 2018. Whether you visited somewhere, or just had one of those moments you will never forget, if you loved it, list it!

7 Things You Are Looking Forward to in 2019. Whether those plans are set in stone or you something you would like to do this year, share with us.

Tag more Bloggers to Take Part. Share the love and tag others who would like to take part.

Say Thanks. Link back to the person who tagged you and/or myself (@myboysclub) so people know where to find the tag to join in too.

So Without Further Ado, Here Are My Top 7’s

Top 7 Posts of 2018

1. A-Z Free Family Days Out in North East England – this post is now two years old and I’ll be updating it again soon but continues to be the most read and most shared. I love it that people find it so helpful.

2. Where to See Wildlife in the Land of Oak & Iron – the area known as the Land of Oak & Iron is where I grew up and I’ve been working on a number of sponsored posts with them to promote the area. Really pleased they are proving popular, its good to support your roots.

3. Guide to Fire & Ice in Durham – this festival happens early in the year during the February half-term where magnificent ice sculptures are on show across the city. I think its popular because people are ready to get out and about again after hibernating a little in January.

4. On the Lowry Trail in Berwick – This is a favourite artist of mine and a great day out where you can see replicas of Lowry’s great matchstick men drawings in the places where they were drawn. Magical.

5. Our 8 favourite Family Coastal Walks – living in North East England we are so lucky to have such a varied coastline with rocky outcrops, beaches filled with sea glass, long sandy beached with sand dunes, and castles galore. Oh yes and lots of fish and ships shops too.

6. Family friendly ways to reduce food waste – food waste is a pet hate of mine especially at Christmas time so it’s good to know there are simple things we can all do to minimise it. Did you know that in the UK we throw away over 7 million tonnes of food every year? That’s nearly 20% of what we actually buy going into our bins.

7. Family-friendly Vegetarian Meals - Only one of my boys is vegetarian. The eldest does eat, and currently likes eating some meat, and we’ve decided they can decide in their own time what they choose to eat. However, we often eat as a family and the boys often eat vegetarian dishes, most of the time not even realising it.

7 Things I loved in 2018

  1. Winning a CIPR PRide Award as the Outstanding Independent PR Practitioner in the North East.
  2. Speaking at a Toy Conference about blogging.
  3. Climbing Cat Bells with my boys.

  5. Family holiday to Paphos in Cyprus – those sunsets were amazing.
  6. Being able to go swimming on average 3 times a week.
  7. Nights out and lunch dates with friends.

7 Things I Am Looking Forward to in 2019
